Through my 30-year career as a professional ice skater, and almost as many years of studying classical ballet and modern jazz dance, I have experienced many forms of physical training that help to enrich my work as a yoga teacher. I came to the world of yoga later in life, inspired by individuals, who with continued yoga practice are able to age gracefully, maintaining their physical strength and mental health, through a discipline that accommodates all ages and levels of practitioners. I am deeply honored to have the opportunity to share with my students, the wonderful benefits that yoga has brought to me personally. I am a registered teacher with the Yoga Alliance at the 500 hour level and completed my training through Yogaworks. I am also a First Degree Usui Reiki practitioner. I am a member of NAMASTA, and insured through Merchant Francis L. Dean and Associates, L.L.C. I have a Master’s Degree in Education and taught English and French at Moorpark High School for 11 years before beginning my yoga journey. My approach to teaching is gentle, nurturing, and supportive. I specialize in Gentle Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Chair Yoga, and Meditation.

Art
I have been creating and selling my watercolor paintings since the early '80's, and have taught watercolor painting
classes since the mid '90's. Most recently I have adapted my watercolor techniques to the medium of acrylic paints to
create wearable art for women and children. My hand-painted shirts are sold through my website and through showings
at various locations of Yogaworks studios in Southern California. I have been fortunate to combine my love of travel,
with my passion for painting and love of teaching. In 2012, I returned to California after living in the Caribbean for the
previous four years, painting my way across the Commonwealth of Dominica, and the French islands of Guadeloupe
and Marie-Galante. Over the years my paintings have been sold through galleries in Hawaii and Nevada, and are now
shown in Dominica, Marie-Galante, and Guadeloupe.
